Artifact : EDU 256 Seminar for Field Experience – Bulletin board project
Date: Spring 2011
Reflection:
In EDU 256 Seminar for Field Experience we were required to put a bulletin board up that gave information about physical education for the entire school to see. The bulletin board was about how exercise can help with learning by increasing the number of brain cells and can increase brain function. This artifact meets standard 4, to implement effective demonstrations, explanations, and instructional cues and prompts to link physical activity concepts to appropriate learning experiences. It shows that I have the ability to educate students in other ways then just giving them cues and instructions in a gym.
This is important in my development as a physical educator, because it shows that I am not only showing students how to play sports. It shows that I have knowledge of how physical education can help with other parts of learning.

Artifact : EDU 356 Adapted Physical Education & Sport – Lesson Plan
Date: Fall 2011
Reflection:
In EDU 356 Adapted Physical Education & Sport we create lessons that will help the students learn and improve basic skills. This lab was to help the students with throwing and catching, so I used a Halloween theme because it was before Halloween. This artifact meets standard 4, to implement effective demonstrations, explanations, and instructional cues and prompts to link physical activity concepts to appropriate learning experiences. It shows that I can use the theme to get students to participate in the activity and learn the skill without just having them just practicing a skill with partners. This way it makes it more fun and intriguing to the students to do the activity.
This is important in my development as a physical educator, because it shows that I can use different methods to get student interested and still teach them the skills needed.
